Spring Fashion Trends with an Eco Savvy Eye
Who says you can’t follow the spring fashion trends and be eco-conscious. This season some of the hottest trends from the runways can very much be interpreted in an eco-friendly style. Below are my top five Spring trends and suggestions on how you can wear it to be eco-stylish.
1. Playful Prints:
Last Fall, it was all about mixing unexpected prints to make a bold statement. This Spring, the attention is all on one beautiful print as the focus of your ensemble. Get inspired by designers like Christian Dior, Miu Miu and Loewe, and discover your eco-friendly way to display print play.
I am loving this poppy liberty feather print dress by Ciel.
When accessorizing your print dress/skirt/shirt, select colors that subtly appear in the print. For example, choose a platform wedge to play up this casual style print dress, which you can wear to the office with a great satchel or to a weekend brunch with a cute over-the-shoulder bag.

2. Peace, Love and The 70’s
If the 70’s flare has always been your thing, update the look this Spring by adding a little sophistication with a sleeker, cleaner look and add the glamour with lots of jewelry. Think Rachel Zoe, who epitomizes modern-day 70s glamour.
3. Color Block
When coloring your outfit this season, go beyond the traditional, wear two, even three bold colors together. If you’re too shy to try the combination yourself with separates, go with a color block panel dress, check out this eco-fashion brand, Bhalo.
4. Orange Burst
One of the hottest colors this Spring is orange, which came in several delicious shades. Be eco-chic and check out designer Ada Zanditon.
5. Lacy Not Racy
Lace it up this Spring. Embrace your romantic side and elegantly mix it into your wardrobe, which is key so not to come across…too racy. In choosing to go the eco route, I discovered an incredible Finnish designer brand, Minna, whose Eco Luxe Collections always incorporate beautiful lace detailing. Toughen up the lace look with a fitted jean jacket over a lace blouse like this from Minna.
Or update your LBD with this uniquely stunning one-shoulder dress in Scottish lace also from Minna.
